Ann's Jewelry Corner
Last Modified:
In addition to embroidery, sewing and quilting, I enjoy jewelry beading. On this page I'll share pictures of some items I've made.
I've made more hand crafted jewelry than I can wear, so the necklace sets shown below are for sale. Each necklace includes two sets of earrings. All are one of a kind. They are made from beading items purchased from local stores. Therefore, I cannot easily make duplicates. I tried to avoid plastic beads. Instead I used glass, ceramic, metal and a few items are silver or silver plated. The semi-precious turquoise is real but I suspect it is treated to enhance its color.
I find spring clasps at the back of the neck difficult to work so I much prefer a barrel clasp. Toggle clasps are even more finger friendly. I find toggle clasps attractive in their own right and when located in the front they are the most finger friendly way of closing a necklace.
